CARLO L. AQUINO is highly regarded as a brilliant young actor by the local critics. He has shown intensity and depth in the many performances he has essayed on the big screen and on the boob tube, the most notable of which includes his playing the son of Vilma Santos in Chito Roño’s Bata, Bata, Paano Ka Ginawa? and his lead role in the dark film Sa Aking Pagkakagising mula sa Kamulatan. He has worked with the best actors of this country and has been recognized by almost all the award-giving bodies of the land (Santamaria).
He was born in September 3, 1985, Carlo Jose L. Aquino, the loving son of Mr. Jose Aquino and Mrs. Amelia Aquino. He has two older siblings, Grace and
Marvin. Ever since he was a kid he has already shown acting potential and interest. At the very young age of 7, Carlo was discovered.
He was discovered in an LRT station with his dad, Jose Aquino. He even cried because he did not want to embark in the world of showbusiness at first. His first TV Commercial was "Sunlight detergent bar" with none other than Shaina Magdayao at the age of 7. A string of endorsements came pouring in after, from Rejoice for kids to Jollibee and Lucky Me. Carlo's first ever TV Appearance was from a GMA show called "Balete" with the late Nida Blanca, Ricky Davao, Jackie Lou Blanco and Ms. Gloria Romero. His first movie was "Cedie", playing one of the kids in the movie.
Carlo has worked with the finest actors of our generation, the likes of Vilma Santos, Cesar Montano, Ricky Davao, Albert Martinez and Bong Revilla Jr. to name a few. He also appeared in TV shows such as Berks, And TV, Pahina, Gmik, Qpids and more. Countless endorsements and award recognitions at a very young age, there is no stopping his passion for his job. He has also starred in numerous blockbuster movies like Ang Tanging Ina, Bata, Bata Paano Ka Ginawa, Sugatang Puso, Mano Po 3, and Kokey to name a few.
In 2006, Carlo starred in ABS-CBN's "Bituing Walang Ningning" playing Dorina's (Sarah Geronimo) childhood friend and love interest Oman. The Carlo-Sarah tandem was very effective and immediately caught fans' attention all over the world.
Not just an actor, Carlo also has a passion for music. In his younger days, he was part of the JCS band, which consisted of him, John
Prats and Stefano Mori. He began writing his own songs and formed a band with his counterstrike buddies who shared the same passion of writing music. So they decided to form a band and explore other possibilities that they may have in this
business, and thus KOLLIDE was born.
Recently, Carlo has appeared in a highly acclaimed digital film "Tuli", starring opposite Desiree Del Valle. Surprising his fans with a more daring and mature Carlo Aquino. He also starred in one of GMA's top rating sinenovela "Sinasamba Kita" with Valerie Concepcion. These days, he is focused on promoting his band's self-titled CD "KOLLIDE" which is now out in the market. He recently came back from a series of shows in the United States with Yeng Constantino.
